Gym LED Lighting Transformation for Pro-Life Fitness Centre, Paisley

Introduction

This project saw Strathclyde Electrical deliver a complete LED lighting transformation across three key areas of Pro-Life gym. Working from the client's own concept, we designed and installed bespoke lighting for the main training floor, fitted out a brand new glute area converted from the former boxing space, and upgraded the existing leg room with new panels and perimeter LED tape. The result is a bright, modern and consistent training environment that looks as good on camera as it does in person.

Project Overview

Pro-Life approached Strathclyde Electrical with a clear vision for how they wanted their gym to look and feel. As a gym with a strong social media presence, lighting wasn't just about visibility. It needed to create atmosphere, show the space at its best and give members an environment they'd want to train in and share online. The work was split across three core areas. In the main training area, we took the project from the client's initial concept through to design, installation and final delivery, specifying Pro-LED products throughout for their quality, efficiency and finish. In the new glute area, the former boxing space was repurposed, and we carried out all LED lighting works to give the zone its own distinct identity within the gym. In the leg room, we replaced the existing lighting with new 600 x 600 LED panels and upgraded the perimeter LED tape using Pro-LED tape, bringing the room in line with the rest of the facility. Every installation was completed to BS 7671 standards, with a focus on clean cable management, a professional finish and lighting that would perform reliably in a busy commercial gym.

The difference across all three zones is striking. The former boxing area has been transformed into a dedicated glute training space with a fresh, modern lighting scheme. The leg room's dated panels have been replaced with bright, even 600 x 600 LED panels, while the new perimeter LED tape adds definition and atmosphere around the room. On the main floor, the bespoke Pro-LED design has brought the client's concept to life, creating a cohesive look that ties the whole gym together.

Pro-Life now has a fully upgraded, energy-efficient LED lighting system across its main training floor, glute area and leg room. Each zone has its own character while feeling part of one consistent, premium facility. The new lighting improves visibility for members, lowers running and maintenance costs compared to older fittings, and gives the gym a standout look that photographs brilliantly for its growing social media following.
