5. Website Analytics
We use two analytics tools to collect information about how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited, how long is spent on each, and general visitor numbers.
Koko Analytics
We use Koko Analytics, a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics plugin.
- Koko Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect or store personally identifiable information.
- All analytics data is stored on our own website's server, not shared with third parties, and is used solely to help us understand and improve website performance.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our website, including pages visited, time spent on the site, and general location and device information.
- This data is processed by Google and may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the UK–US Data Bridge.
- You can read Google's Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Where an analytics tool sets cookies, this is covered in Section 11 below.
6. Contact and Quote Forms
Our website contact form collects your name, phone number, email address, and details of your electrical enquiry so that we can respond and provide a quote. This information is sent to us and stored securely; it is not shared with third parties except as set out in Section 9.
7. Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible security service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to protect our website from automated abuse and spam without interrupting your experience.
- Turnstile runs silently in the background and does not display a visible challenge or CAPTCHA.
- It analyses browser signals to determine whether a visitor is human. No personal data is knowingly collected in this process.
- Cloudflare acts as our data processor for the purposes of this service.
In accordance with Cloudflare's requirements for using invisible mode, we reference the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which details how data is handled as part of this service. You can read it at: https://www.cloudflare.com/en-gb/turnstile-privacy-policy/
8. How We Store and Protect Your Data
We take the security of your personal data seriously. Your information is protected using:
- Encrypted storage and transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
- Password-protected devices and systems
- Restricted access — only staff who need your data to carry out their role can access it
Your data is retained only for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, financial records must be retained for six years under HMRC rules, and electrical certification records are retained in line with NICEIC and regulatory guidance). Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.
9. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with trusted third parties where it is necessary to deliver our services, including:
- IT and hosting providers: For the operation and security of our website
- Email and communication platforms: To send booking confirmations or follow-up communications
- NICEIC: As our certification body, for the purposes of assessment, quality assurance, and where required to verify or register certificates we issue
All third parties with whom we share data are bound by data protection obligations in accordance with UK law. We do not transfer your data outside the UK without ensuring appropriate safeguards are in place.
